ReplyDeleteI love the Beatles, especially their song Hey Jude!
ReplyDeleteMy blog is https://theonlyblogintheworldever.blogspot.com
I really liked the quotes that you used at the end
ReplyDeleteI am from a small town as well. I loved playing volleyball and football there.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to the pets on the furniture thing
ReplyDeleteHi! I love the part about buying the teddy bear with your allowance money. When I was five, I desperately wanted a pair of high top Lelly Kelly sneakers (If you don't know what those are they're basically just really glitzy converse), but I wanted to buy them ALL by myself. So eventually, I did. It took me several months but eventually I had the most obnoxious sneakers you'll *ever* see.
ReplyDeleteHello! I also have two sisters, so I definitely relate to that. I really liked the Bill Nye the Science Guy quote at the end of poem. I never really thought about that until now. It was really inspiring.
ReplyDeleteI definitely relate to your small town experience during highschool because before I lived here in Springfield, Lebanon was my hometown. It was so tiny and I felt stuck there, so I moved to Springfield. Also, I enjoy thrifting or going to the flea market and I get so excited when I find a gem!
ReplyDeletewhen you said "tattered teddy bear" it reminded me that My sister made me a teddy bear which I slept with util i was 7.
ReplyDeletei resonated with the teddy bear part. i collect teddy bears (somewhat) and i have a whole bunch of them. i also had a stuffed toy when i was a child that i loved to pieces then lost :c
ReplyDeleteI am the saw way whenever it comes to sleeping late on the weekends and I also love sleeping while its raining.
ReplyDeleteI really relate to the domino games around an old table in Oklahoma. When I was younger, my great grandparents and I would play games like dominos and Wahoo. I look back on those times with nostalgia and longing. I also really identify with books on my nightstand, because I always check out way too many books at a time.
ReplyDeleteI really related to "photos and scrapbooks and a project always in the works" because there is always some sort of sewing or art project im doing that will take months because i do it in chunks
ReplyDeleteI really like the dominoes and sitting around an old kitchen table. The quotes at the end are my favorite quotes
ReplyDeletea beautiful example of the horrid truth and not a beautiful lie,not that you are horrid in any way, this is simply a delightful example which is high praise considering our position in a teacher student relation.
